Bankruptcy Safety Harbor

Deciding to declare bankruptcy is never easy.  It should never be done lightly or without proper legal counsel, but it may be the only way for a person to become financially stable again.  Bankruptcy can be a powerful tool to help you get back on your feet. Bankruptcy can help you by eliminating your debt, stoping creditor harassment, protecting your assets, and preventing wage garnishment and foreclosure.

Because Bankruptcy is such a drastic measure, I always take care to discuss all of my client’s options with them before they decide what to do.  These options may include Chapter 7 bankruptcy, Chapter 13 bankruptcy, bankruptcy alternatives, mortgage modification negotiations, or creditor settlements.  In each case our goal is to provide our clients with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions.

Flexible appointments are available for clients who cannot make it into our office during normal business hours, andclient satisfaction is our top priority, so we try to do everything we can to go above and beyond your expectations.

The federal government passed new bankruptcy reform legislation in October 2005. However, don't be discouraged! Most studies indicate that the new law affects less than 15% of individuals who could have filed previously. If you are feeling overwhelmed by your debts and considering filing bankruptcy, it is highly probable that you fall into the category of the 85 percent of people who are still eligible to file.
